Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Clinical-Allied Specialty: N/A Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Prior experience in Mammography required License: NYS licensure registration in Radiologic Technology with Mammography credential Certifications: - BLS certification - ARRT certification Must-Have: Mammography experience Description: Ensure that the evaluation of mammography procedures is administered accurately, timely, responsively, and reliably. Customers served include employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service. Perform routine mammography, bone density scans, and biopsy procedures as requested. Demonstrate adequate radiation safety practices for both patients and co-workers. Provide patient education as required. Maintain the required number of continuing education units to uphold mammography certification. Establish effective communication with referring physicians, radiologists, and other department customers to ensure efficient operations. Participate in all related management system functions concerning patient procedures. Adhere to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing mammography and bone density procedures. Perform other related duties as required.
