Key Responsibilities of the Travel Mammography Technician:
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with physician orders and ACR/FDA guidelines
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the imaging process
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring quality images and adherence to radiation safety standards
- Accurately document and verify imaging data in the PACS system
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to ensure optimal diagnostic outcomes
- Maintain compliance with MQSA, ACR, and facility standards
- Support a patient-centered environment by providing compassionate, professional care
Requirements of the Travel Mammography Technician:
- Active ARRT (R) (M) certification required
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent mammography experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and interpersonal communication skills
