Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technician to perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography. The ideal candidate will have strong mammography positioning, compression, and technique-factor evaluation skills, along with the ability to efficiently manage imaging studies and patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
• Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning and compression techniques.
• Select and evaluate appropriate technique factors to obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Ensure radiographic images are properly labeled according to department SOPs.
• Evaluate images for technical acceptability.
• Transmit completed images to PACS in a timely manner.
• Ensure all completed studies are accurately documented in IDX.
• Maintain accurate patient tracking information.
• Work effectively and efficiently in a clinical imaging environment.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography.
• ARRT registration.
• Must maintain MQSA requirements.
• Strong mammography experience.
• Proficiency in mammography positioning, compression techniques, and technique-factor evaluation.
• Ability to evaluate images for technical quality.
• Strong organizational and patient-tracking skills.
