Key Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic breast imaging procedures under general supervision, utilizing specialized mammography equipment and techniques in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.
• Prepares patients for procedures and reviews clinical history to ensure alignment with provider-ordered tests, maintaining a consistent focus on patient-centric care.
• Responds to inquiries from patients and family members, providing clear information regarding diagnostic testing and expected result timelines.
• Conducts post-testing quality reviews to confirm all required elements are completed, documented, and aligned with departmental and accreditation standards.
• Transfers images and data to the appropriate electronic health system, enters technical findings, and prepares studies for physician reporting.
• Performs quality control checks, equipment cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance tasks per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging or radiology program as defined by ARRT; completion of a JRCERT-accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• ARRT(RT)(M) required within 1 year of hire.
• Foundational knowledge of mammography principles, radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, patient positioning, and medical ethics.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a mammography or broader radiology/imaging environment is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and remain composed in fast-paced or stressful clinical settings.
