Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Technologist Specialty: Mammography Duration: Full-time Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Mammography experience required License: ARRT and ARRT(M) Certified Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology - Mammography experience - ARRT and ARRT(M) Certification - BLS Certification Description: Perform mammographic procedures in a timely manner on all patient types as prescribed by physicians. Coordinate cases with co-workers in a productive manner. Perform quality control on equipment prior to first patient use each day to assure optimum imaging. Conduct required quality tests as scheduled to comply with applicable regulations. Assist in the proper operation of equipment through proper handling, reporting of repairs, and quality control tests. Maintain a professional departmental environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Ensure all clerical procedures are performed for each patient, including processing charges, interpreting films, generating reports, and permanently filing medical records. Assure the proper use of radiation safety, hospital safety, and universal precautions during the performance of assignments. Adhere to safety practices, report accidents/hazards, and maintain equipment as outlined in hospital policies. Some Saturdays may be required.
