Key Responsibilities
- Perform medical mammograms to assist in the diagnosis of disease or trauma
- Program mammography equipment for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
- Prepare, maintain, and operate mammography equipment in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to radiation safety guidelines
- Perform and document all QA/QC tests as defined by MQSA requirements
- Work on Mobile Mammography Van as needed, including some weekends, with all standard responsibilities applying during van assignments
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved radiologic technology program required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Radiologic Technologist position
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) required
- Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) compliance certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ARRT Mammography certification required within 2 years from date of hire if not already held
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 1 year of dedicated mammography experience preferred
- Experience operating mobile mammography units a plus
