Description: THIS IS FOR A MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGISTJOB DESCRIPTION Location/locations: Troy Hospital - 44201 Dequindre Rd, Troy Michigan 48085Shift Time: PRN Shift length: Variable Weekend rotation: As NeededRequired Certifications: ARRT - (R or M); BLSScrub Color: Royal Blue Job Summary Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Mammography exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Always follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care. Essential Functions Performs quality Mammography exams after verification of patient identification, physician order and correct exam charge in EPIC. Demonstrates ability to proficiently operate Mammography imaging equipment. Obtain the highest quality images by using the appropriate techniques for patient positioning for screening, tomography, and diagnostic exams, and invasive mammography procedures. Monitors patients during procedures to ensure patient safety. Maintains and pursues professional development per ARRT requirements. Knowledge with hospital computer site software systems for charging, viewing schedules and PACS for sending information both accurately and efficiently. Effectively communicates on an inter/intra departmental level with administrative, medical staff, and peers. Clean and restock exam rooms, storerooms, and monitor department cleanliness. Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Associate's Degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program. 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years experience beyond staff radiographer level.
