Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Mammographer in Edinburg, Texas. This position involves performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including special views, with expertise in breast anatomy and pathology. The role may also include responsibilities related to breast ultrasound and bone density assessments, working within a team-oriented environment at a womens imaging center.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Mon. - Fri., 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m., with Saturday hours from 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (Off on the Monday prior when covering Saturday); 40 hours per week guaranteed.
  • Required Qualifications: Texas Medical Board License (MRT), American Registry of Radiologic Technology Certification (Radiography and Mammography); 40-hour initial mammography training, documented supervised and unsupervised mammogram procedures, 8-hour 3D tomography training, digital mammography training, 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in the last 36 months, 200 documented mammogram procedures in the last 24 months, minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bone density assessments, breast ultrasound, and familiarity with EMR, RIS, PACS, and MRS software programs.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other facilities when needed.
  • Additional Information: The position involves working with ambulatory patients, wheelchair-bound, and rarely in stretchers. The department features 4 mammography rooms, 3 ultrasound rooms, and 1 bone density room. The EMR system used is Cerner, with RIS, PACS, and MRS software supporting imaging and documentation processes. The dress code is professional scrubs in specified colors with restrictions on unacceptable attire.
