Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Mammography Technologist skilled in stereotactic biopsies, breast interventions, and diagnostic exams for a hospital-based breast center.
Details
- Radiology-Mammography department at a hospital breast center
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility to fill other day shifts
- Performs mammographic exams, bone density testing, and breast biopsy procedures
- May float to a nearby sister hospital
- No on-call requirement
- Uses Epic and Sectra PACS systems
Requirements
- ARRT certification in Mammography required
- BLS certification required
- NJ DEP X-ray License required if applicable
- Graduate of an NJDEP or JRCERT approved radiography program
- Experienced in stereotactic biopsies, breast interventions, and diagnostic mammography exams
- Up to date with 15 current Mammography CE credits
- 8 hours of documented 2D and 3D training
- Documented specific training in stereotactic biopsies
- Compliance with MQSA standards for MG exams
- Proficiency in Epic and Sectra PACS preferred, can be obtained during training
- One year of Mammography experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- References preferred
Additional Information
- Reviews patient records to ensure all pertinent information is available for the Radiologist
- Practices universal precautions, aseptic technique, and ALARA principles
- Obtains a minimum of two patient identification factors per National Patient Safety Goals
- Explains procedures clearly and responds to patients' physical and psychological needs
- Maintains cleanliness and stocking of assigned work area and equipment
- Assists with training and mentoring of new team members or students
- Adheres to site-specific dress code requirements
- May include call and holiday rotations as required by the site
- Completes annual competencies and maintains all licenses, certifications, and CE requirements
- Participates in annual Image Wisely pledge
