Job Summary:
Mammographer position in Salem, Massachusetts. This role involves performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, including stereotactic biopsies, at various offsite locations within a 10-mile radius. The schedule is flexible, with shifts varying between 8, 10, or 12 hours, primarily on weekends, and candidates must be available for weekend shifts on Saturdays. The position requires independent work with a patient-focused approach.

Job Details:

  • Location: Salem, Massachusetts
  • Schedule: Saturday and Sunday shifts from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm or 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, with shifts varying between 8, 10, or 12 hours, amounting to 36-40 hours per week depending on department needs
  • Required Qualifications: Current Massachusetts Radiology and Mammography License, current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) card, digital training with 8 hours documentation, tomosynthesis training with 8 hours documentation, documentation of 15 hours Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in the past 3 years, documentation of mammography statistics formed in the past two years, ability to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, at least 1 year of experience in mammography
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing stereotactic biopsies is preferred but not mandatory
  • Additional Information: Candidate must be flexible and willing to work independently, with shifts varying week-to-week based on department needs. Coverage includes Salem hospital and offsite locations within a 10-mile radius. The technician-to-machine ratio is 1:1.
