Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT M/R certification to support a Level I Trauma Center's academic medical system across multiple imaging sites.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Mammography department of a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center
• Floats between 4 sites: Shoreline Medical Center, North Haven Medical Center, Long Wharf Medical Center, and Smilow Cancer Hospital
• Shifts include 8:30 AM-5:00 PM and 12:00 PM-8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other Saturday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
• Weekday off provided when scheduled for a Saturday shift
• Schedule posted one week in advance
• Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, and screening mammograms
• Uses Hologic 3D and Siemens equipment
• Works in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• ARRT M and ARRT R certification required
• BLS certification required
• Breast Ultrasound certification preferred
• Experience with Hologic equipment required
• Some travel experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Active CT license required prior to start date
• 1 professional reference required

Additional Information

• Performs mammography procedures including 3-D, diagnostic, digital, and screening mammograms
• Cross-training as a Breast Sonographer is preferred
• Weekend work required
• May float to sister facilities within the health system as needed
• RTO greater than 7 days requires facility approval
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the hospital are not accepted
• Previous staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Teal scrub tops and bottoms required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with exemptions only for religious or medical reasons
