Traveling Project Manager – Mechanical Construction

Location: Nationwide Travel (Project-Based)
Travel: Full-Time Travel Required

Our client is an industry-leading mechanical contractor with a strong national presence and a proven track record of delivering large-scale commercial construction projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Traveling Project Manager to oversee complex mechanical projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

• Oversee project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, and project execution.

• Coordinate with owners, design teams, field leadership, and subcontractors to ensure project success.

• Monitor project costs, change orders, forecasting, and financial performance.

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Provide leadership and support to Superintendents, Project Engineers, and field personnel.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the life of each project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial mechanical construction.

• Experience managing HVAC and/or Plumbing projects is required.

• Experience managing large commercial projects valued at $20M+.

• Experience with Mission Critical and Data Center construction is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Willingness to travel full-time to project locations across the United States.

• Ability to manage long-term assignments ranging from 2–6 years.
