Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (1845–0715) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week (after first week of orientation) | No guarantee of hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Float between various medical and surgical units including a Medical Unit, a Surgical Acute Unit, and a Cardiovascular Unit
  • Provide direct patient care across units with varying nurse-to-patient ratios (up to 1:8 on nights for medical units)
  • Operate and utilize equipment including Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
  • Adhere to unit-specific orientation and training programs upon assignment to each department
  • Maintain professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) in accordance with dress code policy

Required Qualifications

  • Active State of Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
  • Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience (up to 10 years preferred)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Documented proof of required immunities (medical and religious exemptions not accepted in lieu of documentation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • PALS certification
  • Procedural Sedation certification
  • TNCC or ENPC certification
  • Experience floating across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular nursing units
