Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a combined Med/Surg-Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of experience and multiple critical care certifications.

Details

• Work in the Acute Care Unit, covering both Med/Surg and Emergency Department needs
• Unit includes 6 Med/Surg beds and 3 ER beds
• Patient population includes inpatient, observation, and swingbed Med/Surg cases as well as ER and outpatient infusion patients
• Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, post-op ortho, pneumonia, UTI/AMS, and failure to thrive
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours weekly on a deferred schedule
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Athena EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or CO) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• AHA Procedural Sedation Module certification required
• Combined Med/Surg and ED experience required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across both Med/Surg and Emergency Department settings
• Manage a variety of acute and post-operative patient conditions
