Weekly Gross Pay: $1,800

Shift: Nights – 3x12s, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
Overtime: Hours over 48/week are overtime

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience
• 24 months of nursing experience for first-time travelers
• First-time travelers are welcome
• BLS required
• NIHSS required (pending accepted)
• CPI preferred
• Epic charting experience
• Patient ratio: 1:6

• IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Blood product administration
• Central line blood draws
• PICC line management
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Peripheral line care/management
• Chest tubes
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Non-invasive airway management
• Oxygen administration and oral suctioning
• Colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube care
• CVA/neurological care
• Heparin, insulin, and PCA
• Isolation precautions/PPE
• Wound care and wound vac
• Surgical drains
• Pre/post-hemodialysis management
• Renal failure care

Unit Details

• 32-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit
• Adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Self-scheduling
• Float required to like units
• No call
• 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
• 24 hours of orientation
• 1 pre-approved time-off request
• Rapid Response Team available
• 36- or 48-hour schedule options
• 48 hours of straight time allowed
