Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Neuro – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend required. Patient ratio 1:4. On-call coverage required if cancelled from scheduled shift. 13-week assignment.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• BLS and NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient experience with at least 1 year of recent neuro patient experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficient neuro skills required (all competencies must be rated 3 or 4)
• Experience with CVA, isolation precautions, med/surg, telemetry, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, neurosurgery patients, spinal cord injury, substance withdrawal, traumatic brain injury, and rapid response/code teams
• Must have reliable vehicle for transportation
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
