Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Comfort working with general med-surg and oncology patient populations
• Experience with chest tubes, post-op patients, and oncology complications is highly valued
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy-biotherapy certification is a plus
• Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation
• Valid, unexpired driver's license required for submission

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to med-surg and oncology patients with varying acuity
• Monitor and respond to telemetry needs, including rhythm interpretation
• Support patients recovering from common post-op procedures and those managing oncology-related complications
• Assist with care needs such as chest tube management, neutropenic precautions, and infection-related concerns
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver timely, patient-centered nursing interventions
• Float to other MedSurg/Tele areas as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow unit standards for safe, efficient care
