- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shifts Per Week: 4 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays; opportunity for charge nurse and precepting responsibilities
- Charting System: EPIC
- Unit Type: Telemetry / PCU-tele level care
Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- At least 1 year of recent telemetry nursing, cardiac monitoring, or acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Comfort working night shift in a telemetry and progressive care environment
- Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Strong assessment, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and critical thinking skills
- Experience with EPIC preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry and progressive care patients in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and document strip interpretation according to unit protocol
- Care for patients with elevated troponins, chest pain, NSTEMI, post-cath recovery, pacers, and other cardiac or medical diagnoses
- Administer and monitor common telemetry drips per protocol
- Collaborate with hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and charge nurses to support safe patient care
- Float occasionally to similar overflow or med-surg settings if needed
- Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered environment on both lower-acuity and high-acuity shifts
