PCU/Tele unit with 20 beds on the 2nd floor and 22 beds on the 6th floor
Patient ratio: 1:5
Mostly Tele-level acuity; 2nd floor may transition to higher-acuity Stepdown
Every other weekend: Friday/Saturday for night shift
Rotating holidays based on unit needs
Rare floating; may float to ICU overflow Tele or Ortho/Med-Surg
Opportunities for Charge Nurse and Preceptor responsibilities
First-time travelers are accepted
24/7 Hospitalist, Intensivist, Respiratory Therapy, and Pharmacy
No IV team
Common Patient Types
NSTEMI/STEMI recovery
Elevated troponin
Chest pain
Pre/post cardiac catheterization
Pacemakers
Peritoneal dialysis
Oncology patients
Post-surgical patients
BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Drips/Skills
Experience with:
Cardizem
Amiodarone
Labetalol
Dopamine
Dobutamine
Heparin
Integrilin
Nitro
✅ Required
Active RN license required to submit
BLS – AHA
ACLS – AHA
EPIC experience
Must be willing to work nights, rotating weekends, and holidays
