Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Orthopedics unit position requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in a 15-bed Neuro/Ortho Med Surg unit
• 13-week assignment with a 06:45-19:15 shift schedule
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while coordinating care across disciplines
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Navy or maroon scrubs required
• Requires strong critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, with mileage varying by state
• Candidates should begin discussing assignment extensions with their manager 45 days before the end date
• COVID vaccination is not required
