Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical / Colorectal & Bariatrics

Schedule

Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. This position requires 36 hours per week, with no block scheduling, and entails working one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. You must also be available to work at least one holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical / Colorectal & Bariatrics unit. You will be responsible for handling a diverse patient population, utilizing your clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans effectively.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitoring patient conditions and recording vital statistics.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educating patients and families about health conditions and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• 1 year of recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry nursing.
• Active NY RN License.
• AHA BLS certification.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience for non-U.S. candidates.
