GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Please ensure traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team" where there will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take a position with a leading acute-care hospital, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. You should not apply for a role at this facility if you are not comfortable with the above.
MedSurg/Renal Must have at least 2 years of acute care experience and renal experience. 1st Timers OK, must have 2 years of acute care experience.
Patient Age Group: Adults & Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: AKI, CKD, ESRD, DM, COVID+, COPD exacerbation, wound infection, PVD/PAD, GI Bleed, Cotted AV Fistulas, General Med/Surg diagnosis, cellulitis.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: General medicine, Renal patients requiring dialysis, general surgical procedures such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy, wound debridements, central line and dialysis access placements, amputations.
Special Equipment: Remote Telemetry monitoring by tele tech; peritoneal dialysis managed by the patient and dialysis nurse, wound vacs, Pyxis, SBAR, EPIC.
Float requirement: Yes, agency pulled first.
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
