Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment, patient prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care during 12-hour night shifts
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, as required by the facility
• Successful completion of applicable compliance, health, and background requirements

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Assess patient status, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary professionals
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment
