Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift contract requiring telemetry and NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Details

• 28-bed Med/Surg unit
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts per month required
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1
• Uses Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, and Telemetry equipment
• Charts in Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Hospital experience required
• 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience preferred
• 3+ years of nursing experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs per shift
• Team-oriented environment valuing openness to feedback and an owner mentality
• Navy blue scrubs with facility logo required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
