• Unit Setting: 30-bed Med/Surg unit
• EMR: Meditech
• Floating: As needed based on hospital needs

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg, medical-surgical, or acute care nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment
• Experience with post-surgical and adult medical-surgical patient populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate bedside care to Med/Surg patients with a focus on positive outcomes
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to the plan of care
• Care for post-surgical patients, including those recovering from procedures such as cholecystectomy and cystoscopy with stent placement
• Support patients with pain management and CIWA-related care needs
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and support staff to maintain smooth unit flow and quality patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established hospital policies, Med/Surg standards, and safety protocols
