**Exciting Opportunity for Medical-Surgical RN!** **Job Description:** - Join a dynamic healthcare team committed to exceptional patient care! - Seeking an enthusiastic and skilled RN to work in a vibrant surgical unit. - Experience a collaborative environment where your clinical expertise will shine. - Help create memorable patient experiences while ensuring outstanding clinical outcomes. **Unit Highlights:** - Location: San Antonio, TX - Unit: Surgical (612) - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Shift Details: * Days: 7A-7:30P * Nights: 7P-7:30A - Guaranteed Hours: 36 - Patient Ratios: 1:5/6 - Number of Beds: 40 - Documentation System: Meditech **Role Requirements:** - Must have: * Active TX RN License (temp licenses not accepted) * 2+ years of Medical-Surgical RN experience * BLS Certification * Meditech charting experience * IV peripheral start and care, central line care * Tubes/drains - NG, JP, chest tube, ostomy care * Insert and care of Foley - Preferred Skills/Advanced Skills: * Tracheostomy care * Wound vacs/large dressing changes * 3-way bladder irrigation * Effective teaching and patient communication **Work Environment:** - Staff Support: * 1 Unit Coordinator on days * 3 PCA's on days * 2-3 PCA's on nights - Floating Policy: As needed **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Navy scrub top and pants; Navy or white scrub jacket - Nail Policy: No acrylic; clean without chipped polish; nails no longer than ¼ inch - Hair: Off shoulders, natural color - Tattoos: Covered whenever possible - Piercings: Visible piercings (other than ears) are prohibited **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
