Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical Unit. This position requires a compassionate professional who is committed to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: Medical Unit
• Number of Beds: 26
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Support Staff: Technicians available
• Type of Equipment: Hoyer lifts, rolling computers, rolling vital signs monitors
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating Policy: May float to Surgical or Acute Rehab
• Preferred Experience: Some Med-Surg experience

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active RN license required, BSN preferred
• Skills Required: Proficient in patient care basics, vital signs, lab limits, medication administration, and controlled substance knowledge
• Advanced Skills: Experience with NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drips
• Procedures Performed: Post-operative care for heart procedure patients returning from the cath lab
• Certifications Required: Current BLS certification

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs (tops and bottoms).
