Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Pocatello, ID 83201

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with weekend coverage required (2 shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs). Patient ratio 1:6. Float to other units as needed based on competencies.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a 48-bed medical surgical unit with diverse patient population
• Work with a variety of patient diagnoses including sepsis, COPD, post-operative care, trauma, respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, diabetes, and more
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Epic charting system with 24-36 hours of orientation provided
• Opportunity to utilize advanced skills including central line management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, wound vac, tracheostomy care, and blood product administration
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic acute care environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of application)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Must reside outside 100-mile radius from the area
• Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
