General Information
Tell us about the unit(s):
- Number of Beds -: 29 beds but can overflow adults in peds for a total of 39
- Number of Staff – when at 39 we call for a charge, 8 RN, and our ACT
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift charge, 8 RNs, and ACT from 10am-10pm
- Night Shift - charge, 8 RNs and ACT from 10am-10pm
- Patient Ratios – 5:1
- Type of equipment – remote telemetry
- EMR – Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- Minimum 1-year current Med/Surg RN acute care experience
- BLS
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- ACLS
- Prior Meditech experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
- Post-op surgical patients
- Some cardiac drips such as amio and dilt. Also will see heparin drips
