Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

Location: Englewood, CO

• Number of Beds: 18-20
• Staffing: 35 total staff members
• Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 2-3 nurses, 1 LPN, 1-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
• Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 3 nurses, 1 LPN, 1-2 PCTs
• Patient Ratios: 6:1 with LPN
• Equipment Used: Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacuums, PCA pumps
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Overview

The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for various patient needs, including wound care, medication administration, and monitoring patient progress.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital Med/Surg experience
  • Current BLS certification
• Preferred:
  • Burn care experience
  • Experience in wound and ostomy care
  • ACLS certification

Responsibilities

• Perform wound and dressing care on post-operative burn and flap patients.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
