Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro Med/Surg unit requiring 2+ years of recent neurosurgery/neuroscience experience.

Details

• Work on a 18-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Care for post neurosurgery and neuroscience patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (AL state or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and AHA NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Neuro/Neurosurgery required
• American Red Cross certifications not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to post neurosurgery and neuroscience patients
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial fingernails not permitted
• Must maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
