Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Neuro MedSurg unit requiring an active TN or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.

Details

• Work in the Neuro MedSurg unit of a 14-bed hospital department
• Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Unit staffed with a dedicated Unit Secretary and Charge Nurse outside of ratio
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Contract travelers are the first to float when needed

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Joint Commission Thrombectomy Certified neuro unit
• Scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
