Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) in Wilmington, NC. This is a contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse patient populations.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12HR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
• Target Ratios: 1:6
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics; General Med/Surg Patients with a daily census of ~43.
• Special Procedures: Heparin Drips, Wound Vac Dressing Changes, High Flow Oxygen, and BiPap with respiratory support.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Med Surg RN.
• EPIC experience is required.
• BCLS certification is preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work holidays and every other weekend.
• Must be able to take care of COVID patients.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Additional Information:

• Travelers will be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team.
• Call required if put on call for a prescheduled shift.
• Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may be required.
• Contract staff may be required to report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters.
• Unit orientation will be 24 hours.
• Scrubs are not provided; navy scrubs are required.
• All travelers and staff are required to attend unit team meetings scheduled for the 4th Wednesday of each month from January through October, and the 3rd Wednesday in November and December at 1730.
