Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Med-Surg environment specializing in Transplant Nephrology. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care for patients, including those undergoing kidney transplants and requiring renal support.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Unit Staffing: Includes unit secretary and patient care technicians (PCTs) available during shifts.
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per month
• Floating Policy: Agency or contract nurses will float first as needed.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in this unit, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality patient care in a Med-Surg setting.
• Assisting with the preparation and recovery of patients undergoing kidney transplants.
• Providing pre-operative and post-operative care for renal patients.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Preferred Experience: Med-Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, and dialysis.
