Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, delivering safe and effective nursing care throughout each shift
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EHR
• Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
• Participate in weekly Monday orientations as scheduled
• Collaborate as a team player and take ownership of assigned patient care responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing role
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EHR
• Ability to work rotating weekends
• Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 5 or more years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments
