Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 in an 18-bed unit setting
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech EHR
Float to other units as required to support staffing needs
Participate in weekly Monday orientations at the start of the assignment
Demonstrate ownership of the position and function as a collaborative team member

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Alabama or compact state eligibility
Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience (5 years strongly preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech EHR
Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

5 or more years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care setting
Familiarity with adult and geriatric patient populations in a hospital environment
