Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a 39-bed Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
  • Manage and monitor patients presenting with common diagnoses including fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infectious conditions
  • Utilize the Paragon electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination
  • Fulfill weekend float requirements as assigned by unit leadership
  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in alignment with Joint Commission accreditation standards

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Must meet travel designation requirements (residing 60 or more miles from the facility)
  • No on-call requirements; must be available for weekend float shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience with the Paragon EHR system
  • Experience caring for geriatric and adult patient populations in an acute care setting
  • Familiarity with orthopedics, cardiology, or general surgery patient populations
