Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg night shift position requiring at least 2 years of experience and Meditech proficiency.

Details

  • Work on a Medical Surgical Combination unit across 3rd and 5th floor units within a 294-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital
  • Each unit has 22 beds with patient ratios of 6:1 up to 7:1
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with common cases including surgical, PD exchanges, placement, and psych
  • Uses telemetry equipment and MEDITECH EHR system
  • 12-hour night shift schedule from 7PM to 7AM
  • Weekend rotation required every other weekend
  • No call requirements
  • Floating required, including serving as a 2nd nurse on Telemetry or ED units
  • Scrub color is not restricted

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • Meditech experience required
  • Med Surg experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, including surgical, PD exchange, placement, and psych cases
  • Family-oriented team culture
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
  • Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this position
