Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments — including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs — and synthesize findings to guide care planning and communication
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and evaluate individualized plans of care, incorporating cultural and ethnic considerations
• Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including bedside point-of-care testing and adherence to nursing standards, policies, and procedures
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs for patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care or high-risk discharge situations
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe, clean, and secure environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience in a Medical Surgical hospital setting
