Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current Alabama Registered Nurse license or compact RN license eligibility
• BLS certification required
• Strong experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented inpatient hospital environment
• Willingness to float as needed
• Proficiency with Meditech preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate bedside care to Medical-Surgical patients
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Support a positive, efficient workflow on a busy inpatient Med/Surg unit
• Provide excellent communication and patient education throughout the care experience
