Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Compact or Alabama RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Ability to work night shift and every other weekend
• Comfort working in a 6:1 patient ratio environment

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to acute care patients
• Assess patient conditions, monitor changes, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to standards of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record
• Deliver compassionate support to patients and families throughout the care experience
• Maintain a professional, team-oriented presence in a fast-paced healthcare environment
