Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring TN or compact RN license and Meditech experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a Level II trauma acute care hospital
• 44-bed unit serving patients of all ages
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required, totaling 24 weekend hours
• As-needed float requirements
• As-needed call requirements with a 30-minute to 1-hour arrival window if called in
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse adult and pediatric Med/Surg population
• Professional demeanor expected on the unit
• Scrubs of any color accepted; no casual wear or hoodies permitted
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
