Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Baltimore, Maryland

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Baltimore, Maryland
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 27, 2026
• End Date: January 26, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Weekends: No weekends
• Holidays: No holidays
• Call: No on-call requirement
• Orientation: 28 hours

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license
• At least 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, including medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current NIHSS certification preferred or required as applicable
• Successful completion of the EKG rhythm interpretation assessment with a minimum overall score of 80% and a 100% score on lethal rhythms
• Cerner electronic medical record charting experience preferred
• Ability to complete required onboarding modules, laboratory testing, and screening appointments within designated timeframes

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to emergency department boarder patients in the ED or acute stay setting
• Monitor patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs and promptly identify changes in condition
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized plans of care
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and escalate concerning findings according to clinical protocols
• Communicate effectively with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Float to Med/Surg/Telemetry units as needed to support patient care operations
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the travel nursing assignment
