Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Baltimore, Maryland

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Baltimore, Maryland. Join a collaborative healthcare team providing safe, evidence-based care to patients boarding in the emergency department and ASU area while working a consistent day-shift schedule.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Location: Baltimore, Maryland
• Assignment Dates: October 27, 2026–January 26, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Weekends, Holidays, and Call: Not required
• Orientation: 28 hours
• Electronic Medical Record: Cerner experience preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or a valid compact RN license
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse experience
• Previous travel nursing assignment experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Successful completion of the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Recent Med/Surg Tele and emergency department holding experience
• Flu vaccination required; exemptions are not available for this assignment
• Strong patient assessment, telemetry monitoring, communication, and time-management skills

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients boarding in the emergency department or ASU area
• Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and promptly communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Perform cardiac rhythm monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, facility policies, and professional nursing standards
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner
• Coordinate care, provide patient education, and support safe transitions to the appropriate inpatient unit
• Float to Med/Surg Tele units as needed while maintaining quality and continuity of patient care
