Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, potentially 1:6
• Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a dedicated monitoring unit
• Float as needed to all acute care areas, cardiology, and the EC for acute care patient holds
• Collaborate with CNA support staff and utilize nurse aides, including sitter assignments
• Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR
• Adhere to all unit protocols including scrub color requirements (Caribbean Blue)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility (as indicated on a valid driver's license) to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred but not required
• Comfort with floating to multiple unit types including acute care and cardiology
• Experience working with telemetry patients
