Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 7P-7A shift position requiring MO or compact RN license and 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Work on a 49-bed Medical Care 3 North Med/Surg unit
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Unit supported by 1 unit secretary and PCTs (5 on days, 3 on nights)
• Uses Welch Allyn/Dynamap VS machines, bladder scanner, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, and wound vacs
• Documentation via Meditech
• 12-hour shifts, 7P-7A, with 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule
• Floating per facility policy
• Performs IVs, foley catheters, external urinary catheters, wound care, post-op care, trach care, NG tubes, and feeding tubes

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required for MO facilities
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Focus on patient-centered care including AIDET, bedside shift report, and hourly rounding
• Required uniform: navy blue scrub top, navy or black scrub pants; undershirt/jacket if worn must be navy, white, or black; no sweatshirts or track jackets
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
