Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) travel assignment requiring an active VA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit within a 250-bed academic community hospital
• Unit serves patients of all ages
• Maintains a 1:6 patient ratio
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend work required
• As-needed call requirements
• As-needed floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) required
• Current BLS, HWC (available on-site), and NIH certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care to patients across all age groups
• Professional demeanor expected on the unit
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual attire not permitted
• Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a criminal questionnaire required
• Must reside 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
