Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position on a busy Ortho/Med-Surg unit requiring at least 1 year of experience and IN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 21-bed Ortho/Med-Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes total joint replacement, general surgery, urology surgery, chest pain observation, pancreatitis, osteomyelitis, and cellulitis cases
• 3:1 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15
• 13-week assignment
• Float requirement to 5S, a Med/Tele/PCU unit
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Weekend-only schedules may be considered

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on an Ortho/Med-Surg unit with a diverse surgical and medical patient population
• Must have a US Social Security Number and a US home address (international addresses not accepted)
• Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate
• Travelers should discuss potential contract extensions with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
