Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Acute care setting on a 39-bed Med Surg unit with 24 MS/tele beds
• acutely cardiac patients
• Patient population includes non-acutely cardiac cases such as pacemaker management, cardiac monitoring, and potassium level management
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses MEDITECH EMR and McKesson medication system
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a, including some weekends
• 36 hours per week
• May float to other Medsurg units within scope of practice, with priority given as first to float

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Basic telemetry experience beneficial but not required
• MEDITECH charting experience highly preferred

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg nursing care including monitoring, medication administration, and management of pacemaker and potassium-related conditions
• Royal blue scrubs required, not provided by facility
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 4-week period
