Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a complex medical unit managing conditions such as complicated UTI/pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, and altered mental status
• Care for patients with tracheostomies, PEG tubes, and peritoneal dialysis needs
• Support a research unit environment approximately half of the month, including participation in clinical research protocols
• Monitor and assess patients using standardized neurological and clinical assessment tools
• Perform and maintain peripheral IV access and PICC line management

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Strong Medical/Surgical nursing skills and clinical background
• Proficiency with tracheostomy care
• Ability to perform NIHSS assessments
• Competency in IV starts and PICC line management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with peritoneal dialysis
• Prior experience in a research or academic medical setting
• Background caring for complex or high-acuity medical patients
